Waking up from the explosion on 24 February, Kharkiv resident Roman Krokhin thought only one thing: ‘If only it was a dream!’... But this was the new reality, and in this reality Roman quickly found a place for himself. At first, he brought lunches to the subway on foot and alone. Then a friend with a car joined him, and within a week they had 7 cars, and within a month a whole volunteer hub was built in Kharkiv. Roman and his friends were delivering food, medicine and other supplies to the most dangerous areas of Kharkiv and Kharkiv region. Often they were driving literally under fire.
