When the war began, Veronika was still a child. At that time it was hard to understand that the explosions outside the window were a new terrible reality. The realization came when the enemy approached right up to her town, and the family was forced to flee. They spent several months in Ternopil region, which the girl remembers with special gratitude. There, for the first time in a long while, she felt calm. But home is home, and upon returning to her native town, Veronika had already learned to live in the war, not allowing fear and despair to prevail. Now she is a student who dreams of media and journalism, because she believes: it is her generation that must restore the country and write a new history of Ukraine.
