Olha Shkabara is one of those who work tirelessly in the rear, putting not only physical effort but also prayer into every movement. She joined the volunteer initiative "Warm the Defender", helping with what demands the most time and hands — weaving camouflage nets. At home, she cuts ribbons and weaves, without taking breaks even on weekends. Her contribution is constant and consistent.
Her nephews, son-in-law, and brothers are at the front. One of her relatives returned wounded and can no longer serve. The others are still at war. That is why, even from her modest pension, she regularly sends money for the needs of the military — as much as she can.
Ms. Olha sings in a choir, reads the Psalter, and takes part in church life. Prayer has become a special support for her. In difficult moments, she felt its power and still holds on to that faith. For her, weaving a net is also a ritual of inner action: she begins with a plea for protection for the one it will cover.
