At the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, the house near Hanna's house was directly hit. Due to the constant attack and the shelling that did not stop, she could not even go outside. Later, there was no electricity or water in the city. They couldn't fire up the stove, because when the Russian soldiers noticed the smoke, they started shooting. Hanna and her family had to hide in the basement for two weeks in such terror. They risked to leave their home in Mariinka only when there was a small lull, just for an hour. The family packed the necessary things and documents and left quickly. Due to the constant shelling, Hanna's native city gradually turned into a ghost. Her house was also destroyed by an enemy shell.
