“There was a direct hit to our house, my children and I were in another room”

Tetiana is an IDP from Lysychansk. Like any displaced person, it is difficult for her to survive in the war. But she doesn’t just give up, she helps others. In 2022, she adopted a baby girl. Katia was born in May under bombardment. In the basement. The child was literally saved. And at three months old, she found a new family. Even when it turned out that Katia had hearing problems, Tetiana did not give up. She was able to find help – Rinat Akhmetov Foundation gave the child the opportunity to hear and speak properly by providing her with a modern hearing prosthesis. Tetiana admits that she misses home, but she is always distracted from her heavy thoughts by the foster children for whom she has replaced their mother.
