Iryna is originally from Kherson region, and before the war she lived in Kyiv region with her husband. Her family remained in their native land, and some of them were killed in the bombing. When the invaders entered Kyiv region, Iryna and her husband watched russian troops move through their village. At night, they could hear the roar of vehicles. Iryna counted the tanks that passed by their house and was horrified to realise that there were more and more of them. The russians were driving around the village in someone else’s cars, terrorising the villagers, and could shoot at any time.
