"Torn corpses were lying near the ATM. And among them, I saw my mother"

In occupied Mariupol, Vladyslava lost her mother and grandmother. Her mother died on 28 February 2022 when she went to an ATM. A shell hit the line of people. Mrs Nina Kopachova was among the dead.

Her grandmother Mariia Stepanivna died of gangrene after Vladyslava and her family had left. The woman did not want to go with her granddaughter. She had animals. She could not leave them behind. On 7 April, the grandmother left the house and came under fire. She fell and broke her leg. The gangrene started. On 11 April, due to the lack of medical care, Mariia Stepanivna died.
