"42 people were hiding in a bunker underground, there was an old military base"

Halyna is from the village of Berezivka, Makariv community of Kyiv region. Its residents hid from the occupiers in an old bunker for more than 10 days. 42 people cleaned up the former military facility, set up the kitchen, and there was a generator to charge phones.

After March 7, residents began to leave the occupied Berezivka at their own risk. Halyna was unable to get out at the first attempt – she came across a russian tank and saw laser sights. And she returned to the bunker. On the second attempt, she managed to leave Berezivka. And a few days later, a shell destroyed her house.
