On February 24, Valentyna was planning to go to her parents in Kherson region. Her mother had already baked cake layers and was waiting for her daughter. But instead of a reunion came the news: her native Henichesk was occupied. A year and a half of separation, waiting, and anxiety. Only later could the family embrace again. Now they live in Kyiv and dream of the day when all Ukrainian cities will be free again.
