“I was ready to shoot myself for bringing my daughter to Gostomel”

On the first day of the war, Larisa Drozdova took her daughter to Gostomel - it seemed to be safer away from the capital ... Within a few hours it became clear that this was a trap. The city was almost immediately occupied. At Larisa, Russian tanks were filling up under the windows, and fierce battles were going on around. To get out of there, Larisa and her daughter had to cross the Irpin River chest-deep in icy water ...

And a few days later, Larisa herself went to Gostomel, together with volunteers, to pull nine more people out of the occupation ...
