“My wife’s arms and legs were lacerated, she had arterial bleeding. I used an internet cable as a tourniquet”

Serhii was in Mariupol with his wife and children, trying everything to save their lives. The shelter had a metal door with a small window. Women and children were hiding inside.

An explosion erupted. We jumped up and heard voices, “Help!” Children and mothers were trapped under the rubble. We broke the window and pulled people through it,” recollects Mariupol resident Serhii. Not all were rescued.
