Oleksandra and her family stayed in Mariupol until March 26. She lived on the 7th floor in her grandparents' apartment. The adults cooked food over a fire. The house was constantly shelled. It was scary and dangerous.

“My mom said it would be over in two weeks. Unfortunately, while we were in Mariupol, my classmate Katia Diachenko died. We sat at the same desk.”
