Dzhasmina has lost her home twice: first in Crimea, then in the Kherson region. The girl’s family found themselves under occupation in the first days of the invasion.  Soon enough, the russians introduced a policy of total russification. The occupiers threatened Dzhasmina’s parents: “If you don’t get russian passports, we can evict you from your house!” But leaving for Ukraine was not easy.

The girl told her story during the Blogger Camp. It was organised by the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation in cooperation with the Office of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights.
