In the first days of the russian federation’s invasion of Ukraine, Radmila felt the greatest fear of her life for her family. After all, most of them stayed in Kherson. The girl herself was in Odesa at the time. During one of the shellings of Odesa, the girl’s grandmother was almost killed. On November 18, 2024, the russian army hit the city with ballistic missiles. Ten people were killed, and another person died later in hospital. Radmila’s grandmother miraculously escaped being fatally injured by glass shards.
