Mykhailo met the war with his daughter and granddaughter. His family had left Mariupol. Mykhailo left too, but without meeting his family, he went back and with his own eyes he saw his murdered neighbours and acquaintances who had been cooking or going to fetch water. Mykhailo's house had burned down. His country-house had been robbed. There was nowhere to live in his hometown. Eventually, he only got out of Mariupol in August.
