When a shell hit the yard and killed five people, Iryna's neighbour ran to her apartment to get a pot. There she was buried alive with concrete slabs. People tried to get her out, but there was a gaping hole instead of an apartment. The woman was never found.
The entrances to the building were blocked. A fire broke out. Iryna's family was rescued by neighbours, but the house burned down completely.
