From the first days of the full-scale invasion, Larysa, along with other Kherson residents, showed her strength, courage, and confidence that Kherson would return to Ukraine, as it later did. The woman and her husband spent eight and a half months in the occupied city. Larysa survived “encounters” with the Russian military. Almost every day, she cooked food and hot tea for the townspeople. Although the right bank of Kherson Oblast has been liberated, Larysa reminds us that hell is still going on on the left bank of Kherson.
