Arina Malenkova is an eight-year-old girl from Kryvyi Rih. In December 2022, a Russian missile hit the house where Arina’s family lived. Four neighbors were killed! The little girl and her mother were seriously injured. Rescuers and passers-by built a human chain to get the victims out as quickly as possible. Arina, wearing bloody pajamas, would lose consciousness and then regain it. Doctors diagnosed combined injuries to her lungs, ribs, shoulder, and eye. The girl underwent several surgeries and then entered a long rehabilitation program.
