“My friend and I were present at the very center of the shelling. My friend died”

I frequently come to the monument to civilians who died on February 13, 2015. The monument is mounted in the school yard. This was the worst day of my life.

Then the city was fired at by Grad. My friend Yegor and I were at the very center of the shelling, we were on the way home after school. I immediately fell to the ground, as I was taught at school, but Yegor got scared and ran. He died from the fragments. I was taken to hospital with wounds to my arms, legs and back. I was shocked, I cried all the time and spoke to my mother only about Yegor.

I still have fragments left in my back, doctors don’t take risk to get them out, they say that there is a danger of damaging the spine.
