Olena stayed in Mariupol until April 16. She survived terrible shelling, air strikes, the death of her brother. She saw dozens of dead people.
"My neighbor grew up in a maternity hospital during the war. She also died during the war. Instead of a coffin, there was a cabinet... There was a young boy lying in the pit, covered with a blanket... In March, Mariupol turned into a cemetery. People were buried in the front garden, on the playground", – Olena, a resident of Mariupol, recalls with horror.
