During the attack on Kyiv on the night of 22 December 2023, a Russian drone destroyed the apartment of Tetiana and her husband, Andrii Kovalskyi, the Ukrainian host of the United News TV telethon. The couple and their children were miraculously unharmed, but the apartment was almost completely destroyed. The kids were sent in their pajamas to their grandmother's house in the same complex. From there they went straight to school.
Tetiana hopes that this will not be a tragedy for the children. They are not even allowed to enter the apartment to avoid seeing the horrors - an overturned Christmas tree, broken windows, and pieces of brick. The couple is now recovering from the shock and assessing the extent of the damage. Although the damage is extensive, fortunately, everything can be restored.
