Daryna’s father is a soldier, and he was the one who told the family that the war had begun. They lived in Mariupol and went through many terrifying moments. A russian bomb exploded near their building and destroyed everything around. They left Mariupol for Dnipro,  and later moved to Irpin. Daryna’s father lost an eye in the war, was held in captivity, but continues to defend the country from the enemy.
