Yana Holubiatnykova believes that even if the fire burned everything from above, the roots are alive and the plant will be able to grow. She uses this metaphor when she talks not only about art, about family, but also about war-torn Ukraine as a whole.

The occupation in Kherson became a real test for her both as a person and as an artist. She saw how not only the enemy, but also the people of Kherson lost their human face, began to profit from the misfortune of others.

And for a very long time she could not pick up a brush again. But, step by step, Yana found the strength to return to creativity. And she gave the world such paintings as “Ole Lukoje”, “Drought”, “Sirin”. Now her works are exhibited in Sofia Kyivska. But they still had to be taken out of Kherson. The story of Yana Holubiatnykova is also about this.
