First, we had to survive without power and gas. Then, a cell signal disappeared. After that, we had to do without food and water. This is Maryna Harbych’s story. And it makes the blood run cold. She lived alone in her apartment in Mariupol. Her house was constantly shelled by planes and tanks. That’s why the woman decided to flee. She walked away. She tried to get as far as possible from the center of the action. But the cluster bomb caught her. If it were not for a random passer-by, who heard her cries for help from underneath the debris, she would not be giving this interview.
Maryna was rescued. And then a miracle happened: she fell in love with her rescuer. She now jokes and calls him her prince on the bicycle. She’s got married. She appears to be happy. However, whenever she recalls the hell she’s gone through, she cannot hold back her tears. Her story follows.
