Vladyslav, together with his wife Viktoriya, came under shellfire near the house. He received terrible injuries. He survived three rounds of amputation on his left leg and an operation on his arm. It was very cold in the hospitals, and there was almost no water and food.
They could have died at least two more times, while the couple was staying in hospitals. The shells flew into the windows, and the Chechen soldiers wanted to arrest them. Vlad recalls, “The Chechens were looking for the military. They came into the ward, “Who are you?” They were looking for Azov regiment’s soldiers. They threatened me with a sub-machine gun.”
