Amaliia is the winner of an essay competition held by the Museum of Civilian Voices of Rinat Akhmetov Foundation. She remembers the day she left her native Mykolaiv - on March 24, 2022. The girl and her family ended up in Germany, but she was drawn back home. Even though it was dangerous there, it was home. Amaliia shared her feelings and experience as a refugee in an essay.
