Halyna Barska

"The primary goal was to save a little child"

Having evacuated her children and relatives to Dnipro, Halyna returned to Mariupol with her husband. She began helping local residents and colleagues from the first days of the full-scale war. She stocked water, store up food, baked bread and helped coordinate the port workers and residents. Halyna and her colleagues managed to provide food for 500-600 people everyday. Later she managed to leave the city which was almost completely destroyed. Now she dreams of returning to her native Mariupol and helping to rebuild it together with her husband.
