Risking his life, Serhiy Taistruk evacuated more than a hundred people from the streets, occupied by the Russians, in his car. Serhiy, a volunteer, died in Irpin from the Russian grenade.
People had left the keys to their houses with him, so every day, he would feed the abandoned animals and then go evacuate the Irpin residents.
“Thanks to Serhiy, my parents are alive now. My father has had his surgery today, but each of us feels guilty… An enemy grenade cut Serhiy’s life short,” – says his acquaintance about the volunteer.
Serhiy is survived by his wife, a disabled son, and an elderly mother.
Rest in peace!
