A tank driving up to your house and pointing its muzzle at it - this is Mariia's worst memory of the occupation of the Ivankiv area in March 2022. Her village was almost at the front line. The occupiers simply demolished the houses of local residents. One day it was her house's turn. Mariia and her family barely managed to get to the cellar. And when she came out, she realized that she no longer had a place to live. The neighbors sheltered the people, but they could no longer stay in such hell. Maria decided to try to escape through the woods, at her own peril and risk. Despite the fact that the foe drone spotted her, the escape was a success.
