On 6 December 2022, Ukrainians in Kharkiv paid their final respects to Volodymyr Vakulenko, a children’s writer and laureate of international literary prizes, on his last journey. At the end of autumn, his family members received a confirmation that his body was found in one of the mass burial sites in Izium. The writer Viktoriya Amelina researched the story of Volodymyr.
