On the night of June 1, 2023, Kyiv was attacked by Iskander ballistic missiles. Three people died from the debris, including the Ivashko family. On the porch of the children’s hospital near the closed shelter, 9-year-old Vika Ivashko died together with her mother Olya...

Near the site of the tragedy, there was a sports club where Vika practiced judo. A few days before her death, Vika earned another victory in the competition. Coach of Vika Ivashko, Master of Sports of Ukraine in judo and co-founder of the SC “Judo Master,” Diana Khalmatova, told us about her purposeful and talented pupil.
