Tetiana lived under siege in her home city for several weeks. Then Chernihiv was surrounded by the enemy for almost a month. The russians bombed it, shelled it, deprived it of communications and tried to cut it off from the capital, but Chernihiv resisted and did not let the invaders pass further. The russians dropped aerial bombs on the road bridge over the Desna River, which connected the city with Kyiv. As a result of the impact, one of the bridge spans fell. Tetiana and her family were wounded in the bombing. They were just trying to escape from Chernihiv. Tetiana, her husband and young son then received shrapnel wounds. The interview was recorded during a course of physical rehabilitation at a sanatorium in Zakarpattia provided by the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation.
