On April 19, 2024, enemy missiles hit residential buildings near the railway station in Dnipro. Anastasiia is one of those who survived that attack. The explosion destroyed the roof directly above the girl and her beloved. The ceiling fell on people, burying them.
Though Oleksandr managed to get out on his own, Anastasiia was pressed so hard that it was impossible to get out. She was retrieved by rescuers. Fortunately, the girl, despite numerous sores and bruises, was able to move on her own in a few days. So she checked herself out of the hospital and devoted herself to rehabilitating the injured man.
