Ruslana’s family left Kramatorsk at the beginning of the invasion. The crowded compartment, the tension in the air, and the fear of the unknown. These memories will stay with Ruslana for the rest of her life. Poland welcomed the family hospitably, but they did not manage to adapt to school. The girl returned to Ukraine. Ruslana handed over an artefact to the Museum of Civilian Voices – a tag from the maternity hospital. It was one of the few things she had managed to take out of war-torn Kramatorsk.
