"We haven't lived in our house for two years because of the armed hostilities"

We are internal refugees  from Donetsk with ten children. We ran away from the war. Our house was destroyed by shells. All we managed to save were soft mascot toys from FC Shakhtar.

We have own two children and eight foster children. We live in a former kindergarten building. It is spacious and warm, but the longing for home does not let go. We can spend hours looking at photos when our lives were peaceful.

In 2012, FC  Shakhtar gave us a two-story house since we were preparing to take more children from a residential care facility. We haven't lived in our house for two years because of the armed hostilities.

We could not find an opportunity to go somewhere for a very long time. Our family is big, and we had nowhere to go. The Foundation helped us– we were evacuated to Zaporizhzhia.

It was difficult in the first months. We weren't getting social benefits for a long time. Plus, we were looking for housing.
