Matvii lost his father in the war. In his last message, dad wrote about his great love for him. A few weeks later, the platoon leader was killed. For almost two months, the family waited for confirmation of the results of the DNA examination. That was a difficult time for Matvii. 

Later, the father's brethren will tell how the deceased saved others on the battlefield, give the boy personal belongings of the defender, and the most valuable of them is an army beret.
