Yelyzaveta is a 14-year-old schoolgirl from the city of Lubny. Her native region, like most other populated areas of Ukraine, was not spared by the war. The girl recalls a russian raid during which more than fifty explosions were heard in Lubny. There is a person beside the girl who inspired Yelyzaveta to take part in the essay contest organized by the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation. The story is about the mother of her classmate, who lost her son in the war but continues to volunteer and work at the hospital; she won a prize in the contest.
