Maria Avdeeva

"You see the bodies being taken out one by one. It all stays with you"

At the beginning of the invasion, Maria AVDIEIEVA became a kind of "voice of Kharkiv". She insisted that her family leave and stayed behind to cover the events in the city. She told and showed foreign and Ukrainian media how Kharkiv was being bombed. How the city resists the invasion. What the "Russian world" is bringing to Slobozhanshchyna. Later, as a journalist, Mariia visited many towns and villages under attack. She fell while waiting for a shell to arrive. She saw the touching and tragic stories of Ukrainians. And most importantly, she told the world about it.
