Yuliya Tveritina – Academician of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine, master of linear painting, graphic artist, and illustrator. Julia is from Kyiv. For many years she has been living and working in Suzhou (China). From the first days of the war the artist began to keep an art diary of the war.
March, 2022. Nastya, my friends Olga sis, hugs her daughter during the evacuation from Melitopol. A few hours earlier, the house, under where they were hiding in the shelter had been shelled, and for half an hour they lost each other in the chaos of panic, in the smoke and darkness of the dilapidated basement. Nastya says that it was the most terrible half hour in her life.
