"There were sounds of explosions nonstop; the cars near our house were on fire after strikes. There were 50 persons in our basement, even infants. We all shared everything we could with each other. We had been collecting and melting snow. We had a lot of honey and gave it all to people," says Liudmyla Ksenita. When she and her family tried to leave, a tank blocked the road and pointed its muzzle at the car. That was a moment to say goodbye to everyone. However, the tank turned around and drove away, and the Ksenita family was able to evacuate to Zaporizhzhia.
Liudmyla recollects that everyone arrived dirty, hungry, and exhausted. And when we got out of the car, we just fell to our knees with joy that we had survived and were able to leave.
