On March 12, an air bomb fell near the house where Maryna was hiding. Only a funnel remained of 8 neighboring houses. Neighbors were killed.
“We took turns spending the night in the basement. The hatch was torn off. It was covered with debris. The house was shaking. After a while – another bomb. We didn’t understand anything. It was a cold feeling of fear. We saw each other. Me, my nephew, and his wife. We were engulfed. Then they dug us up and a neighbor. They carried her out to the hospital on a blanket. And there is close combat. She was bleeding. We run under bullets. A Russian tank is coming towards us. Points the muzzle at us. As a result, the woman died from bleeding,” says Maryna Pereshyvailova, a citizen of Mariupol.
