My 11-year-old son Dima was wounded during the shelling. This happened during the Battle of Ilovaisk two years ago, in 2014. Son's body was completely riddled with shrapnel. His right leg was hanging on a piece of skin. Our whole family suffered a lot that day. My grandmother's leg was torn off; my wife damaged her eardrum; I was wounded below the temple by a fragment.
Son saved his sister by covering her with his body. His life hung by a single thread for several days. Doctors were unable to save his leg. Dima needed a new expensive prosthesis, but he had no money for that. Rinat Akhmetov's Humanitarian Center offered to help us.
