For Ms. Oksana, the National Museum of Folk Architecture and Life of Ukraine is not just a job — it is her life’s work. She remembers herself as a child at the museum’s opening, and today she is its Director General, who, in the darkest of times, took on the main mission: to preserve. Under shelling and constant threats, she did not allow panic to prevail — she protected the exhibits, cared for her team, and restored the museum’s work already in May 2022. Not a single missile has struck the museum — it is safeguarded by six churches and her love for her calling. She believes in the strength of Ukrainians and knows: our resilience is already history, and victory is only a matter of time.
