We raised six children, and recently took in two foster children. Even the fear of war did not stop us.

The fear of war did not stop us, we took foster children

Our foster children Yulia and Vlad have a mother somewhere who can't take care of them for medical reasons. The children had lived in a boarding school for two years, because they have no father -- he died. For several months, we were completing the adoption documents. It's a good thing that the attacks in Talakivka calmed down a bit. Otherwise social workers would not have given the children to us if they saw what we had seen.

Our three eldest children grew up and left. Then my husband and I thought about adopting children.

Yes, they are special due to their upbringing. They may require special professional help to adapt to life. All our children became friends. Everyone's favorite activity is helping me in the kitchen.
