My name is Herman. I live in Toretsk. When I was 10 years old, a war in our town broke out. It is still ongoing.

Toretsk was shelled. They attacks were severe.

And one day, the bangs were heard near my house. A shell from a tank hit a neighbouring house. I got very scared. I was so horrified that I had goosebumps, because I was at home alone. Mom and Dad were at work, and the younger sister was at school.

When mom and dad came home from work, they settled my mind.
