Yevhen is a doctor at Bakhmut Hospital. From the first days of the full-scale invasion until September 2022, he did not leave his workplace – the flow of wounded reached more than 100 people a day. They worked in conditions of power outages, under fire, 24/7. The explosions, of which Yevhen counted about 200 one night, did not scare him. The worst thing was seeing children crippled by war. Today, the walls of the hospital where people were so desperately saved have been destroyed by russia. Although the stone did not hold, the people did. Through joint efforts, the medical profession was restored in the Kyiv region in Brovary, where people from Bakhmut work – with Bakhmut in their hearts.
