Olena, who survived the hostilities in Sievierodonetsk in 2014, thought it would be the same in 2022. But it turned out quite differently. Her mother and Olena’s son moved to Kyiv back in 2014, but she stayed in her hometown. Her father’s heart broke during the war and he died in September 2014. During the full-scale invasion, Olena, her mother and son were unable to leave Sievierodonetsk for a long time, but thanks to volunteers, they finally moved to Lviv. They had to go through a lot, and the horror was there every day.
