“I am going through a war with my parents”

My name is Sofiya Nartova, and I am 14 years old.  I live in the city of Mariinka. I am going through a war with my parents.

I have a brother — Denys. We have many pets: three cats and three dogs. I like drawing, skateboarding and dancing.

In 2014, the war broke out. It happened at night, and we got very scared. The city was going into panic mode, all people were evacuated to other cities.

2014. My family and I moved to another city and lived there for six months.

2015. Then we moved to the sea.

2016. We moved to Kurakhovo where we lived for three years. I attended three schools there. In this city, I felt very good, calm. But then we decided to move to Mariinka.

2018. They shot in my hometown at that time. It was dangerous, but we came there for weekends.

I feel good in Mariinka, because I was born here and I will never forget my hometown. Not all my relatives live here, but they are slowly moving back.

2019. They are still shooting in Mariinka, but I'm already used to it. I can’t walk for a long time on the street ...

I really wish peace to come!
