The hero of this story is Leonid Remyha, General Director of the Municipal Institution "Kherson City Clinical Hospital named after A. Tropina and O. Tropin", Honored Doctor of Ukraine. Kherson was one of the first large settlements in Ukraine occupied by Russian troops at the beginning of the full-scale war. Russians wanted to seize the hospital for their own hospital. Leonid was hiding from the occupiers for a month and a half.

"After all, the rashists found me and told me to sign a cooperation agreement, otherwise...", –Leonid Remyha tells the "Museum of Civilian Voices". The doctor suffered a microstroke. The invaders took him "to the basement". He was held in the torture chamber for two weeks. He was interrogated and underwent a polygraph test. He managed to escape and was hiding until the city was de-occupied.
