For a year and a half, Kateryna and her child were in the Czech Republic. The woman was hiding abroad from the war. Nevertheless, she returned back to Ukraine to help her seriously ill mother. During a massive russian missile attack on Ukraine on January 2, 2024, Kateryna's family woke up from a glow and loud explosions. They went to the bomb shelter but did not manage to get there. Due to the fall of missile fragments, 11 high-rise buildings in the Vyshneve, Kyiv region were damaged. All the windows in Kateryna's place were blown out. For the first time, they covered the windows with plastic and plywood.
